Poland
For vehicles imported from Poland, verification is conducted through the official government portal Historia Pojazdu . This service is provided by the Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs and offers a complete overview of the vehicle’s history. 1. Where to perform the check? The official website is: 👉 https://historiapojazdu.gov.pl/ 2. What information do you need? To "unlock" the vehicle's history, you must enter three (3) specific details from the Polish registration certificate: Numer rejestracyjny: The license plate number. Numer VIN: The 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number. Data pierwszej rejestracji: The date of the first registration of the vehicle (not the issue date of the current document). 3. What information will you receive? After entering the data, you will see a page with several tabs. The most important one is the "Oś czasu" (Timeline) tab. This displays: Stan licznika (Odometer reading): The mileage recorded during every annual technical inspection. Inspection Dates: Exactly when the vehicle underwent its MOT/KTEO tests in Poland. Ownership History: Whether the vehicle was owned by a company or an individual and if it has changed hands frequently. 4. Why is this important for Greece? Certificate Validity: According to the Greek circular, if the data found by the Greek KTEO on the Polish website matches the physical certificate, the vehicle proceeds normally for registration. Prevention of "Clocked" Mileage: The Polish database is considered extremely difficult to tamper with, providing high security for the buyer. 💡 Expert Tip for Buyers: On the Polish registration certificate, the date of first registration required for the search is usually found in field (B) . Ensure you enter it in the correct format ( DD.MM .YYYY) so the system can locate the vehicle.
